Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 is a not so powerful tablet released many years ago, with a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera, a 7" touch-screen and a great performance Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1.2 GHz. But let's get into much more detail.
Amazon ships this tablet with a good performance 1.2 gigahertz Dual-Core processor, included in the TI OMAP4460 chip with 1 GB of RAM. Handling graphic calculations, this tablet also uses a 384 MHz PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit. An interesting feature of this tablet is the 16 GB quite big internal storage memory and although it doesn't count with an SD card slot, it is enough to store hundreds of games and apps, but it probably wouldn't be enough if you are planning to install a couple of the heaviest games available nowadays.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 is for sale in color black. Amazon didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 13.9 ounces tablet. This tablet is slim and comfortable, while it's not close to being one of the thinnest tablets currently available, with a thickness of 0.4".
This tablet has a nice 800 x 1280 7" display, which makes all photos and movies look very good. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
This device has wifi capability (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a wireless router or modem). This tablet doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't support GSM services.
