The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a lot better than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7, getting a global score of 59.5 against 48.4. Both devices in this comparison review come with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the newer 4.1 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 has Android 4.0, providing you a couple additional features and enhanced performance. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 were only released with a couple of months difference, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s construction is a bit thicker but somewhat lighter than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a superior battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7.
