Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a global score of 58.5, which is a bit better than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE's 54.1 overall score. These tablets use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has 4.1 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) body is thicker but lighter than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, and both were released with only a couple months difference.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE features a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a lot higher 1200 x 1920 resolution, a better screen pixels density and a bigger screen.
