Even though Asus MeMO Pad FHD 10 is newer than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, it's just a little bit thicker and just a little heavier. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Asus MeMO Pad FHD 10 has the newer 4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0 version, counting with some extra features and performance improvements.
