Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE is a quite good Android tablet launched back in the year 2012, which counts with an extremely powerful 1.5 GHz Dual-Core processing unit, a large 8.9-inches multi-touch display and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera.
This device has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.35". This tablet is only 9.4 inches long and 6.4 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 8.9" display. Amazon only sells this tablet in color black. This time, it seems like Amazon forgot about optimizing the weight in this 20 ounces tablet.
Amazon equipped this tablet with a very powerful 1500 megahertz Dual-Core processor, bundled in the TI OMAP4470 chip and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit disappointing for a tablet this powerful. Graphic calculations usually uses lots of processing power, so it has an extra PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit working at 384 MHz to unload the processor. A good advantage of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE is the 64 GB big internal memory and even though it doesn't include an external SD slot, it is still enough to store lots of apps, games, pictures and videos without even thinking about running out of space.
This tablet includes a good level 8.9 inches screen with a 1200 x 1920 resolution, making everything look beautiful. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
This tablet only has a 1.3 megapixels front side camera.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has WiFi connectivity (although it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a wireless router or modem), LTE 4G fast connectivity and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet doesn't use a sim card, because it is not a GSM enabled device.
This tablet also includes a couple interesting features as Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
