The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has an overall score of 60.1, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE's 55.7 overall score. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 construction is newer, extremely lighter and somewhat thinner than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Asus MeMO Pad 8 has newer 4.4 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0 version, so it gives you a couple nice extra features.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a bit better CPU than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a little more vivid screen than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1200 resolution, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also counts with a bit greater pixel number in each inch in the screen.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE counts with a very superior memory capacity to store more apps and games than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Asus MeMO Pad 8 captures a lot better photographs and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8's battery duration is just as good as the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE one.
