The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, with a overall score of 65 against 55.7. Even being the best in this review, it must be noted that it is also a a little heavier and a little bit thicker device. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has 4.1 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0 version, so it gives some additional features.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s CPU is just as good as Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE's processor, and although the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a faster GPU, they both have 1 GB of RAM memory and 2 cores. Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a way greater display pixel density.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a much better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE. The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE features a way bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a way better battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is also by far the cheapest one.
