The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is better than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, getting a 66.5 score against 55.7. Both devices in this comparison review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0 version. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 body is way lighter but somewhat thicker than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, and both of them were released with only 8 months difference.
