Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active has a score of 67, which is a lot better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE's score of 55.7. Even though the Galaxy Tab Active is just a little bit thicker than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, it's noticeably lighter and newer. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab Active has the newer 4.4 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE has Android 4.0, so it provides some extra features.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE features just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a bit larger display, a better display pixel density and a lot better 1200 x 1920 resolution. Galaxy Tab Active and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE count with quite similar processors, although the Galaxy Tab Active also has 512 MB more RAM memory, a faster graphics processing unit and more cpu cores.
Galaxy Tab Active has a way better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE. Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE features a very superior storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory. Galaxy Tab Active features a much better battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE.
The Galaxy Tab Active is a bit more expensive than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra dollars.
