The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is way better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, with a 78.5 score against 55.7. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is much heavier than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE, it's thinner and newer.
