Comparison review
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 68.5, which is better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 60.8 global score. Both of these devices come with the same Android 4.2.2 OS, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that. Even though Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 were released with only a couple of months difference, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 design is thinner but also somewhat heavier than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a bit more powerful CPU than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. Both of them have a 2 GB RAM memory, a 450 megahertz graphics processing unit and the same number of cores.
