The Dell Venue 8 7840 has a general score of 61, which is a bit better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 60.8 overall score. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but Dell Venue 8 7840 has 4.4 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2. The Dell Venue 8 7840 is a just a bit lighter and notably thinner tablet device than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
