Microsoft Surface Pro has a general score of 63.2, which is a bit better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's general score of 60.8. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro is a better portable tablet than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, we must note that it is also an older, a lot thicker and a lot heavier portable tablet. Microsoft Surface Pro comes with Windows 8 Pro OS, and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with Android 4.2.2 OS.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a much better screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a lot better number of pixels per screen inch and a quite better resolution of 1200 x 1920px. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a little bit better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and a slower GPU working at 450 MHz, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and also faster).

The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a very superior camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
