Comparison review
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, getting a 69.2 score against 60.8. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8 OS, while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 OS. Even being the best in this comparison review, it must be noted that it's also an older, somewhat thicker and heavier tablet.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a better processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has an additional GPU and a larger number of cores. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a way better screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per screen inch and a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a way better battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Although Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung ATIV Tab 5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, resigning some features and specifications.
