The Galaxy Note 10.1 is just a bit better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, having a 66.3 score against 60.8. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 10.1 has the newer 4.4 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2, offering a couple additional features and performance tweaks. Galaxy Note 10.1's construction has the same thickness than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, but it is much heavier.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a much better display than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a way better display density and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920px. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a superior CPU than Galaxy Note 10.1, and although they both have the same RAM amount and a Quad-Core processor, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has an extra graphics processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 features a greater memory for games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 32 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
