Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has an overall score of 67.8, which is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's score of 60.8. Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's body is incredibly heavier but thinner than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and both were released only 6 months apart. Both of these tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has 4.4.2 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version, so it provides some additional features and increased performance.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a greater hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a 450 megahertz GPU and 4 CPU cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has 512 MB more RAM memory. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a much sharper display than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and much more pixels per inch of display.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has much more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 takes a lot better pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a very superior battery duration than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 costs more than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
