Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a global score of 65.6, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 60.8 global score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 construction has the same thickness than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, but it is somewhat lighter. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has a greater amount of pixels per screen inch and a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have 4 cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has an additional graphics processing unit and more RAM memory.

So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, giving up some specs and features.
