Galaxy Tab Active is better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, with a 67 score against 60.8. The Galaxy Tab Active design is newer than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's, although it is a little bit thicker and incredibly heavier. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active has the newer 4.4 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a lot better display than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a lot more pixels per inch in the display. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have 4 CPU cores and a 450 megahertz graphics processing unit, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has 512 MB more RAM. Galaxy Tab Active counts with a greater camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
