The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a lot better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, with a 74.3 score against 60.8. These tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version, so it provides the user lots of additional features. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 construction is notably thinner but incredibly heavier than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and both of them were released only 9 months apart.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a little bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a lot lower resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a much smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of display.
