Comparison review

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 is a little bit better than Sony Xperia Tablet S, with a overall score of 60.8 against 58.9. These tablets work with Android OS, but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a more recent 4.2.2 version and Sony Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 version. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 construction is newer, noticeably lighter and a lot thinner than Sony Xperia Tablet S.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features an incredibly better display than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a way better pixel count per screen inch. The Xperia Tablet S counts with a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Xperia Tablet S also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 128 GB.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a bit better processing power than Xperia Tablet S, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has a larger amount of RAM memory and a faster GPU running at 450 MHz. Sony Xperia Tablet S counts with a battery life that is just as good as the battery lifetime in Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

Xperia Tablet S shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
