Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is slightly better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, getting a score of 58.5 against 58. Despite being the best in this review, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is an older, heavier and thicker portable tablet than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the older 4.1 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a much faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has more RAM, more processing cores and a GPU. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a lot better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a display with the same size, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has a way higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and a much greater pixel amount per display inch.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a very superior camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a little bit better storage capacity for applications and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because although it has only 8 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) costs exactly the same than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, making it a simple decision.
