Apple iPad Pro has a score of 79.5, which is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's 68.5 global score. Although Apple iPad Pro is heavier than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, it's thinner and also newer. The Apple iPad Pro counts with iOS 9.x operating system, while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.2.2 operating system.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has just a bit better hardware performance than Apple iPad Pro, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with more cores and a graphics co-processor. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit more vivid display than iPad Pro, because although it has a way smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1600 x 2560, it also counts with a higher pixel density.
