The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 68.5, which is better than Asus Fonepad 7's 58.9 overall score. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.2.2 version while Asus Fonepad 7 has Android 5.0 version. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's body is noticeably thinner but way heavier than the Asus Fonepad 7.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a better display than Asus Fonepad 7, because it has a much greater display pixels density, a lot better resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a larger screen.
