Comparison review
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is slightly better than the Google Nexus 10, getting a general score of 68.5 against 68.1. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's construction is newer, thinner and much lighter than Google Nexus 10. These tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an older 4.2.2 version and Google Nexus 10 has Android 5.1 version.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit sharper display than Google Nexus 10, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1600 x 2560, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the display. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 10, because it has more internal storage capacity.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a superior hardware performance than Google Nexus 10, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an extra graphics processor and a greater number of cores.
