The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is better than HTC Flyer, with a general score of 68.5 against 58.7. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 construction is a lot newer, incredibly thinner and just a little lighter than HTC Flyer. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.2.2 version while HTC Flyer has Android 3.2 version.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a way better looking screen than HTC Flyer, because it has a bigger display, a way higher pixels count per screen inch and a much higher 1600 x 2560 resolution. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a faster processing unit than HTC Flyer, because it has a larger amount of RAM, a much better graphics co-processor working at 450 MHz and more processing cores.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC Flyer, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The HTC Flyer counts with a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.

The HTC Flyer's camera is just as good as Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's camera, although the HTC Flyer has a way lower 5 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera.
