Comparison review
Huawei MediaPad M5 lite is just a bit better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, with a 73.3 score against 68.5. Both tablets we compare here include Android OS, but the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2 version, counting with a couple additional features and performance optimizations. The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite construction is extremely newer and a little thinner, but also heavier than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an incredibly better screen than Huawei MediaPad M5 lite, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a much better amount of pixels per display inch. The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite counts with just a little better performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and faster) and a larger amount of RAM. The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a very superior battery duration than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
Huawei MediaPad M5 lite takes a bit better pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. Both have a back-facing camera with an 8 megapixels resolution.
