Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a global score of 68.5, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018)'s general score of 68.3. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's design is somewhat thinner than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), although it's just a bit heavier and was released 5 years before.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a better CPU than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit and the same RAM memory amount, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an additional graphics co-processor.
