Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a general score of 75.2, which is just a bit better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's 68.5 overall score. Both of these devices have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2 version, giving a couple nice extra features and better performance. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter tablet than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, even when they were released with only 3 months difference.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a slightly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has a just a little less pixels per inch of screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1600 x 2560, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a little bit larger display.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. They have 4 cores, 2 GB of RAM and a 450 MHz graphics processing unit. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has just a bit bigger storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. Both have a 8 MP resolution back camera. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a very superior battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
