Comparison review
Apple iPad 3 is a little bit better than iPad mini, getting a 68.2 score against 68.1. Both of these tablets use iOS OS, but the Apple iPad 3 has 6.1 version and iPad mini has iOS 8.x. Apple iPad 3's body is extremely heavier and noticeably thicker than iPad mini. The Apple iPad mini counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Apple iPad 3, because although it has 512 MB less RAM, and they both have 2 cpu cores, the Apple iPad mini also counts with an extra GPU.
Apple iPad 3 counts with a better screen than iPad mini, because it has a bigger display, a much higher 1536 x 2048 resolution and a way better screen pixels density. IPad mini takes just a bit better photographs and videos than iPad 3. Both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, a same size aperture, a same resolution back facing camera and the same 1920x1080 video resolution.
IPad mini features much more memory to install games and applications than Apple iPad 3, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity. The iPad 3 has a much better battery lifetime than Apple iPad mini, because it has a 160% greater battery capacity.
Although iPad 3 is a better device, it is a little more expensive than the iPad mini, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPad mini. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy iPad mini, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
