Comparison review
IPad 3 has a global score of 71.1, which is slightly better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's general score of 67.9. Although the iPad 3 is better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, we must highlight that it is also a lot older, notably heavier and somewhat thicker. The iPad 3 has iOS 6.1 OS, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 OS.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a slightly better looking screen than iPad 3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a greater display density. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a quite superior processing power than Apple iPad 3, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and also faster).
The iPad 3 takes much better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a worse video definition, a smaller camera aperture and a much worse 5 MP resolution camera in the back. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's storage for apps and games is very similar to the iPad 3 one, both of them have the same 64 GB internal memory.
The Apple iPad 3 has a much longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
In addition to being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, iPad 3 is also a lot cheaper.
