Comparison review
IPad 3 has a global score of 71.1, which is slightly better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's global score of 68.5. Even being the best we are comparing, we must tell that it is also older, extremely heavier and somewhat thicker. IPad 3 comes with iOS 6.1 OS, and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with Android 4.2.2 OS.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a better display than Apple iPad 3, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display and a quite better resolution of 1600 x 2560px. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and iPad 3 have extremely similar storage for apps and games, both have equal 64 GB internal storage.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a better performing CPU than iPad 3, because it has a greater number of cores (and also faster), a graphics processor and a higher amount of RAM. The iPad 3 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a much lower resolution back camera and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light photos and videos.
