IPad 3 is slightly better than the iPad 9.7-inch, getting a general score of 71.1 against 65.4. Both devices in this comparison review work with iOS operating system, but iPad 3 has a more recent 6.1 version while iPad 9.7-inch has iOS 13.x, so it gives you some additional features and enhanced performance. Although it's the best tablet in this comparison, iPad 3 is a much older, thicker and heavier tablet than iPad 9.7-inch.
The iPad 3 counts with a much better display than iPad 9.7-inch. They have the same screen density, an equal resolution of 1536 x 2048px and a display with the same size.
