Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is much better than iPad 3, with an 82.4 score against 71.1. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017)'s design is extremely newer and thinner than iPad 3's, although it's somewhat heavier. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) comes with Windows 10 Pro operating system, while iPad 3 works with iOS 6.1 operating system.
The Apple iPad 3 has a bit sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a lot lower resolution of 1536 x 2048px, a just a bit worse display density and a way smaller display. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a superior processing power than iPad 3, and although they both have 2 cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) also has a larger amount of RAM.
IPad 3 has a very superior camera than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a camera in the back with a much lower 5 megapixels resolution and a lower 1920x1080 video resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a lot bigger memory to store more apps and games than Apple iPad 3, because it has more internal storage.
IPad 3 features a superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).
Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Apple iPad 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Apple iPad 3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), else you can save some dollars and buy the Apple iPad 3, giving up a couple specs and features.
