Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 72.2, which is a little bit better than the iPad 3's overall score of 71.1. Microsoft Surface Pro 3's body is way newer and just a little thinner, but heavier than iPad 3. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, and iPad 3 counts with iOS 6.1 OS.
The iPad 3 features a slightly better screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1536 x 2048 resolution and a little higher count of pixels per inch of display. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much better memory capacity to store more games and applications than iPad 3, because it has 448 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features just a bit better performance than Apple iPad 3, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has 7 GB more RAM memory. IPad 3 has a much longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. IPad 3 captures a lot better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both have the same resolution back-facing camera, the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video resolution.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than iPad 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the iPad 3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the iPad 3, letting go some features and specs.
