Comparison review
IPad 3 is a little bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, with a score of 71.1 against 69.2. The iPad 3 counts with iOS 6.1 operating system, while Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with Windows 8 operating system. The iPad 3 body is somewhat lighter and just a little thinner than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, even when both of them were released with only 6 months difference.
The iPad 3 features a better looking display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1536 x 2048 resolution and a lot greater screen pixel density. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a very superior memory for apps and games than iPad 3, because it has 64 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a little faster processor than iPad 3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 also has more RAM. Apple iPad 3 features a much longer battery performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a 183 percent greater battery size.
IPad 3 features a greater camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, although it has a back camera with a much lower 5 MP resolution.
Although Apple iPad 3 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 5. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Apple iPad 3, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, giving up a couple features and specifications.
