Comparison review
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a score of 77.4, which is a little bit better than the iPad 3's 71.1 global score. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a newer tablet, and it is also somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than iPad 3. The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) comes with Android 4.4.2 OS, and iPad 3 works with iOS 6.1 OS.
GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a greater performance than iPad 3, because it has a graphics processing unit, a higher amount of RAM memory and a larger number of faster cores. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a bit better looking display than iPad 3, because it has a quite bigger screen, a just a little greater pixels density and a quite better 1600 x 2560 resolution.
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features much more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPad 3, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 64 GB. The iPad 3 features a much longer battery duration than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because it has a 41% more battery capacity.
The Apple iPad 3 captures greater pictures and videos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), although it has a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a back facing camera with a much worse resolution.
Although GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Apple iPad 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Apple iPad 3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Apple iPad 3, letting go a couple specifications.
