The iPad 3 has a global score of 71.1, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's 68.7 score. IPad 3 has iOS 6.1 operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 operating system. The iPad 3 is an older, much heavier and a lot thicker tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a more powerful CPU than iPad 3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has an extra graphics processor and a larger amount of RAM memory. Apple iPad 3 counts with a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a bigger display, a lot higher resolution of 1536 x 2048px and a greater pixels quantity per inch of display.
The Apple iPad 3 has a slightly better memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Apple iPad 3 features a very superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 160% larger battery size.
