Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a bit more powerful processor than iPad 3, because it has 2 more cores and 1 GB more RAM. The iPad 3 counts with a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a bigger display, a lot higher resolution of 1536 x 2048px and more pixels per inch of display.
The Apple iPad 3 has a bit more memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage. IPad 3 has a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a 131 percent greater battery size.
Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a slightly better camera than Apple iPad 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a lot bigger aperture to take better captures and videos in low light environments and a way higher resolution back-facing camera.
