IPad 3 has an overall score of 71.1, which is just a bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's score of 67.9. IPad 3's body is much older, extremely heavier and somewhat thicker than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. IPad 3 counts with iOS 7.x OS, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with Android 4.4 OS. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a greater hardware performance than iPad 3, because it has more CPU cores and a higher amount of RAM.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better display than iPad 3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a better screen pixel density.
