Comparison review
The Apple iPad Air 2 has an overall score of 74.2, which is just a bit better than Apple iPad 3's 71.1 overall score. Both devices we are comparing work with iOS OS, but the Apple iPad Air 2 has a more recent 8.x version and Apple iPad 3 has iOS 7.x version, counting with a couple nice extra features. The Apple iPad Air 2 design is much newer, noticeably thinner and extremely lighter than the Apple iPad 3.
IPad Air 2 counts with a superior processor than iPad 3, because although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a 64-bit processor and a larger amount of RAM. IPad Air 2 has a little bit better screen than iPad 3. Both of them have an equal 2048 x 1536 resolution, a higher pixel amount in each screen inch and a same size display.
IPad 3 counts with a way bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than iPad Air 2, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Apple iPad 3 features a much longer battery lifetime than Apple iPad Air 2, because it has a 57 percent bigger battery capacity. Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a bit better camera than iPad 3, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the same camera aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Apple iPad Air 2 also has a lot higher resolution camera in the back.
Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, iPad Air 2 is also very cheap compared to the other tablets, making it a no doubt choice.
