Comparison review
The iPod touch 4th generation has a general score of 51.2, which is just a bit better than Apple iPad's global score of 46.9. The iPod touch 4th generation design is extremely lighter and notably thinner than Apple iPad, even though both were released only a couple months apart. Both tablets in this comparison include iOS OS (Operating System), but the iPod touch 4th generation has the newer 6.1 version and Apple iPad has iOS 5.1 version.
The Apple iPad features a much better processing power than iPod touch 4th generation. Both of them have 256 MB of RAM and the same number of cores. Apple iPod touch 4th generation has a better screen than Apple iPad, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 960 x 640px, it also counts with a lot more pixels per inch of screen.
