Comparison review
The Apple iPad 4 is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface Go, with a 70.8 score against 66.5. The Apple iPad 4 has iOS 7.x OS, while Microsoft Surface Go has Windows 10 OS. The Apple iPad 4 body is thicker and noticeably heavier than Microsoft Surface Go. The Microsoft Surface Go and iPad 4 have incredibly similar processing units, because although the Microsoft Surface Go has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have a Dual-Core processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
The iPad 4 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Microsoft Surface Go, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1536 x 2048 resolution and a just a little better pixel quantity per screen inch. IPad 4 and Microsoft Surface Go feature incredibly similar memory for apps and games, they have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Microsoft Surface Go's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery duration in Apple iPad 4. Apple iPad 4 shoots a lot better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Go, although it has a way worse resolution back-facing camera and a lower (Full HD) video definition.
Although iPad 4 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Microsoft Surface Go, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface Go. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the iPad 4, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface Go, letting go a couple specs and features.
