The Apple iPad 4 has a global score of 70.8, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface Pro's global score of 63.2. The Apple iPad 4 comes with iOS 7.x operating system, and Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro operating system. Apple iPad 4's construction is notably lighter and extremely thinner than Microsoft Surface Pro.
Microsoft Surface Pro has a little bit better performance than iPad 4, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has 3 GB more RAM and a better GPU. The Apple iPad 4 has a more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display and a better 1536 x 2048px resolution.
The iPad 4 takes much clearer photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a much better resolution back facing camera. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with as much memory to install games and applications as the iPad 4, they have the same internal memory capacity.
Microsoft Surface Pro's battery performance is just as good as the battery lifetime in iPad 4.
IPad 4 is a lot more expensive than Microsoft Surface Pro, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
