The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has a global score of 75.1, which is slightly better than Apple iPad 4's general score of 70.8. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with Windows 10 Pro OS, while Apple iPad 4 comes with iOS 7.x OS. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 construction is heavier but thinner than Apple iPad 4.
The iPad 4 counts with a much better performing processor than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and a greater number of cores. The iPad 4 has a bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, although it has a much smaller screen, a way worse resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a just a bit less pixels per inch in the display.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Apple iPad 4, because it has 1000 GB internal storage. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Apple iPad 4 have similar battery durations. The Apple iPad 4 shoots way better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, although it has a much worse 5 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a lower (Full HD) video definition.
