Comparison review
The Apple iPad 4 has a score of 70.8, which is a lot better than Microsoft Surface RT's general score of 58.4. The Apple iPad 4 works with iOS 7.x operating system, while Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT operating system. The Apple iPad 4 is a just a little lighter portable tablet than the Microsoft Surface RT, but both have the same thickness.
IPad 4 has a much more vibrant screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot more pixels per screen inch and a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. The iPad 4 counts with a way bigger memory to store more games and applications than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Microsoft Surface RT counts with a little better processing power than iPad 4, because it has more RAM memory, a much better GPU running at 520 megahertz and more processing cores (but slower). The iPad 4 has a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the iPad 4 also has a much higher 5 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera.
Microsoft Surface RT's battery life is very similar to the battery performance in iPad 4.
Although iPad 4 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the iPad 4, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go some specs and features.
