The Apple iPod touch 4th generation is a incredibly thinner and a lot lighter device than iPad, even though they were released with only 7 months difference. Both of these tablets work with iOS operating system, but the Apple iPod touch 4th generation has a more recent 6.1 version while iPad has iOS 5.1 version, providing some nice extra features.
