Comparison review
The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) is just a bit better than the iPad mini 4, having a global score of 77 against 75.6. Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018)'s body is a lot newer than the iPad mini 4's, although it is way heavier and somewhat thicker. The iPad mini 4 has a much better looking screen than Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018), because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 2048 x 1536, the iPad mini 4 also counts with a quite greater pixel number per inch in the display.
Apple iPad mini 4's storage for applications, games, photos and videos is very similar to iPad 9.7-inch (2018)'s one, both have equal 128 GB internal storage. IPad 9.7-inch (2018) features a better processing unit than iPad mini 4, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory, the iPad 9.7-inch (2018) also has a higher number of cores.
The iPad mini 4 takes clearer pictures and videos than iPad 9.7-inch (2018). Both of them have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same aperture, the same (Full HD) video quality and the same resolution camera in the back. The Apple iPad 9.7-inch (2018) has a much better battery duration than iPad mini 4, because it has 8827mAh of battery capacity against 5124mAh.
Although iPad 9.7-inch (2018) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than iPad mini 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPad mini 4. So if you need that extra features, you can buy iPad 9.7-inch (2018), but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the iPad mini 4, giving up a couple features and specs.
