Apple iPad 9.7-inch is slightly better than Microsoft Surface 2, with a 65.4 score against 63.4. The Apple iPad 9.7-inch is a a lot newer tablet, and it is also way lighter and thinner than Microsoft Surface 2.
Microsoft Surface 2 features a screen that's very similar to the display in iPad 9.7-inch, because although the Microsoft Surface 2 has a bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a just a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a little bit bigger display. Microsoft Surface 2 has a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than iPad 9.7-inch.
The iPad 9.7-inch features a little better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has less cpu cores (although they are faster), they both have 2 GB of RAM. The iPad 9.7-inch has a much better battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
