IPad Air is just a bit better than the Huawei MediaPad X2, having a overall score of 72.8 against 72.7. IPad Air has iOS 8.x operating system, while Huawei MediaPad X2 comes with Android 5.0 operating system. Even being the best tablet device in this comparison review, we must tell that it is also older, heavier and a little thicker.
The Huawei MediaPad X2 features a bit better performance than Apple iPad Air, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have a 64-bits processing unit, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and 6 more CPU cores. Huawei MediaPad X2 features a little sharper screen than iPad Air, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a way smaller display, it also counts with a little better screen density.
The Huawei MediaPad X2 counts with a lot bigger memory to install applications and games than Apple iPad Air, because it has 16 GB more internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 128 GB. Apple iPad Air takes much clearer photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad X2, although it has a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a much lower resolution back facing camera.
The iPad Air has a very superior battery duration than Huawei MediaPad X2, because it has an 8820mAh battery size instead of 5000mAh.
Although Apple iPad Air is a better device, it costs more than Huawei MediaPad X2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei MediaPad X2. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Apple iPad Air, otherwise you can save some money and get the Huawei MediaPad X2, resigning a couple features and specifications.
