Comparison review
The iPad Air 2 is better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, getting a 79.3 score against 68.5. IPad Air 2's design is newer and way thinner, but also somewhat heavier than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. IPad Air 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.2.2 operating system.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has just a bit better display than iPad Air 2, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and more pixels per screen inch. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit better performance than Apple iPad Air 2, because although it has a 32 bits processor instead of 64-bits, and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a higher number of cores and a graphics co-processor.
